Sunshine.

Sorry for the lack of posts (not that I have done many this summer anyway..) but I am on holiday! The sun is fantastic, the food is phenomenal and the company, as always, is the best I could ask for. I will tell you about it when i get back. Speak soon, I am off for cocktails.

Oh Mr Darcy, how I love you too.
AND I love the fact that Pride and Prejudice was on TV the other day, which meant that I was able to enjoy Fitzwilliam Darcy in all his wonderful, woman wooing chivalry-ness.

Why cant more guys be more chivalrous? I am tentative to say it has become an extinct "species of male" because I believe that some men can be extremely gentlemanly, but we don't see that side of the male race as often as we used to. This make me sad. I will find myself a Mr Darcy... one day!

Their clothes are a little better now-a-days, and maybe their personal hygiene, but their language... well that has gone down the drain. The women in the 21st century have to put up with men coming at them with cheesy pickup lines, "Are you a parking ticket, because you have fine written all over you", being one of my favourites. Whereas Darcy makes it all sound so darn romantic:

"You have bewitched me, body and soul"

I am melting here guys. 

So many feels that I cant cope anymore.

Cor blimey! Its a toasty 31 degrees outside right now and I am inside due to the flying ants that have taken over our garden for the millionth year in a row. Darn you flying ants. Who would make ants have wings?... evolution I am looking at you...

My mom, sister and I have been cooking some treats for my sisters 21st birthday party that we are having on Saturday. I was in charge of the meringues and I am not one for bragging, but they looked delicious. My sister is now making some cookies and our kitchen feels like a sauna. Yes I am a Sweaty Betty as we speak but being British, I moan about all types of weather, so I would probably be moaning about how cold it was if it were Winter right now.

Our family, especially on my Mom's side loves a good celebration. So for the next couple of the days we will be making a lot of food and buying too much drink for everyone who is coming for my sisters birthday. It is going to be a blast, it always is when the family get together.

I can't wait to celebrate my Sister's birthday, she is going to love it (even if it does rain). I am probably more excited for this than I was for my birthday.. and Christmas!!
